All prospective volunteers complete training in 2 steps.
This online video takes about 30 minutes to complete. The video contains an overview of Alongside Families and each volunteer role to help you decide how you want to get involved. IMPORTANT: Alongside Essentials must be completed before you attend our in-person Foundations Training. You will receive information to access this online video when you register below.
For partner church members: If you wish to view Alongside Essentials before deciding if you want to attend a Foundations Training, please reach out to your church's Alongside Families Ministry Coordinator to request access.
This 3.5 hour in-person training is required for all volunteer roles. The training equips you to serve isolated children and parents well. Topics include serving isolated families from a biblical perspective, poverty, trauma, cross-cultural relationships, and hosting details.
